Port Colborne… tall ships, antique cars and cotton candy
I really don’t know what it is but we seem to be under a spell from Lake Erie! There is something magical happening along the coast making our family feel like home over there. So… it is not a surprise to anyone that we try to spend as much time as possible either soaking up the sun on one of the many beaches or exploring all the smaller and bigger towns and ports. And recently, as soon as Mike heard about the Canal Days celebration, we knew that we have to drive to Port Colborne to be a part of the festivity. Three days of fun and celebration with plenty of events to attend to. We mainly went there to see some tall ships and antique and classic cars. The day was beautiful, the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed and we had a very good time! And just in case if you missed the event and you are a lover of classic cars I have good news! Every Thursday from May to the end of September Port Colborne is a home to Cruise Nights so you still have time to attend at least one of those great shows. The detailed schedule can be found here!

Every time we go to a fair or festival Maria asks if she can have cotton candy. And the answer is yes but only if someone will sell a freshly made one not the prepackaged in a plastic bag. So here she is getting her treat from a lovely lady who made the cotton candy specially for her!
do you remember Mater from the movie “Cars”?!
