November and beginning of December each year is the time when we live and breath the Nutcracker and every minute is divided between rehearsals and shows. Even though it is quite intense it is one of my favourite times of the year and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be there for my girl. Seeing her on stage and between the shows is such a privilege and a wonderful experience. It is definitely the time when we get even closer to each other. It is also great for the boys who have all weekend just for themselves doing the guys stuff together and bonding over shared hobbies. And since Maria and I spent the weekends at the theater they are also in charge of cooking and cleaning and bringing food to the theater. We usually – between the shows – eat together at the theater which is charming in its own way.
Rolling the hair for a party girl character. You have to roll the hair after each show in order to keep the curls nice and bouncy and then also sleeping with the rollers on your head part… I truly admire Maria for her dedication.
Maria with her stage mom :) Such a lovely lady. She gave chocolate treats to all her stage children after the very last show
It was truly a wonderful time. Until next year :)
