August in pictures
Time flies when you are having fun! And this is exactly what happened last month… thirty one days filled with sunshine and just good times, are all gone. Every month I try to put together a little album which will help us to remember at least some of the wonderful moments…
the month of August started with our 2 week trip along the shore of beautiful lake Erie. First stop: Port Burwell.
The HMCS Ojibwa served as a Soviet nuclear submarine-hunter during the Cold War. The Elgin Military Museum brought it to Port Burwell in 2012, and now it is opened as a tourist attraction.
touring the submarine was a very unique experience. Here are the chambers where the torpedoes are stored.
this part of the submarine was the only place where we were allowed to take photos – everything else is classified as top secret!
after climbing many steps we made it to the top of the old lighthouse :)
beautiful sandy beach reminded me of my beloved Baltic sea in Poland!
