My favourite places: Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery
Before I moved to Canada the last thing I would associate with this beautiful country was lavender fields and wineries, but it only shows how little I knew about this amazing country. I have to admit that my discovery about Canada’s wine production was much earlier than the fact that we also grow lavender ;) It was about a year ago when I Googled lavender field images expecting pictures from Italy and France when to my surprise I came across very impressive photos from nowhere else but Canada. The surprise was even bigger when I found out that those wonderful lavender farms are so close to our home. Very excited, I wanted to visit them right away but it was already long after the blooming season. I knew that we can’t miss it the next year and I don’t regret the wait because this year we found a magical place that combined both: the lavender and wine. The Bonnieheath Estate became our favourite place as soon as we got there and trips to this place will become our annual family tradition.
rows and rows of grapevines
perfect surroundings for your afternoon glass of wine
cute purple picnic tables ready for you :)
forgot to bring your little snacks? no worries! everything you need is here…
the winery makes few different kinds of white and red wines
you can sample wines until you find the one you enjoy the most
the wine can be purchased only in their store so don’t forget to pick up a bottle or two of your favourites ;)
the entire place smells divine, it reminds me an aroma from a french soap boutique
buying all lavender products is easy and enjoyable, clean and inviting store is right behind the gorgeous door
even though we spent the entire day at this beautiful estate it was very hard to leave…
