May in pictures…
May is all behind us… After a very delayed start the spring caught up nicely and now not just the Spring but the Summer is in a full bloom. The surroundings are filled with fresh, juicy green and the flowers compete with each other with stunning colors and aromas. Especially in the early mornings and evenings the scents are most pronounced and this is exactly the time when we enjoy walking the most. Even though I am not an early bird, the silence and slowly awaking life is good enough motivation for me to get out of bed and immerse myself in the beauty of nature. This time of the year is my favorite and I wish the kids school is over because I know from previous years how hard it is to stay focused on everyday tasks when the weather is so beautiful. But soon, only four more weeks… and for now please join me in small recap of last month :)
the beginning of the month was cold but we still managed to go for a walk almost everyday. It might sound silly but living by the lake I almost feel obligated to visit it almost on daily basis :)
me and birch trees…… I think I have a picture of every birch tree I have ever encountered! I love them no matter what time of the year. Btw the tree on this photo has already tons of beautiful leaves
Magnolias are always the first to bloom, I know that the spring is here when I see those gorgeous flowers
What is the best snack on the cold day? Ice cream of course!
Finally is the time to bring outside all our herbs from the window ledge :)
and to plant some flowers!
