Victoria Day long weekend

We have been waiting  long enough for the first long weekend of Summer and it finally arrived! With warm temperatures, lots of sunshine and more green all around us, it looks like it will be a perfect time to relax, spend time with family and friends and maybe discover some new places.  Victoria Day is a very important federal holiday in Canada and it is officially celebrated on the first Monday before May 25th. The weekend also known as May two-four is to honour the late Queen Victoria’s birthday. It is usually the time when people officially start the cottage season, the lake is crowded with boats and the air smells like BBQ :) We were planning to go on our first of this year camping trip but due to upcoming end of school year show and rehearsals Maria could not skip her Saturday ballet class. But this will not stop us from having a good time and taking full advantage of the Summer like weather. Let’s celebrate! Happy Victoria Day :)
