Maria’s very berry super delicious nutritious smoothie… ;)

March break is in a full bloom and the kids came up with an idea which right away got my stamp of approval: they will make breakfast every day so I can relax and enjoy the time off as well. How not to love it! Every day they prepare a little list of ingredients what they might use  the following morning. This way they can start working early in the morning and surprise me with their creations. Of course, since I am not allowed in the kitchen the meal has to be prepared without the use of stove or any sharp tools. So far so good… We had bread with almond butter and sliced bananas, all sprinkled with a dash of cinnamon, served with a glass of milk or one of our favourites: bread with pressed cottage cheese and honey.  Not bad at all:) Today’s breakfast was served in  bed and showed huge creativity. The rainy, gloomy morning was counteracted with a glass of colourful smoothie which tasted so good that we made it once again in the afternoon:) I know for sure that this delicious, full of amazing nutrients and filling smoothie will be served in our house very often. In case you would like to try here is the  “secret recipe”

You will need: ( 4 servings)

1 lb strawberries

1 cup blueberries

2 large ripe bananas

1 cup greek yogurt

2 cups kefir

1-2 Tbsp raw honey ( depends how sweet you like)

2 Tbsp chia seeds

This is how you do it:

Place all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth.
