First snow and Derek Sullivan…
Winter without snow doesn’t feel the same and I am not even going to mention Christmas. Unfortunately this year the weather was not on our side with temperatures above average which is fine but…. The kids really want snow. They want to play in the snow and test all those fun sliding devices. They also need snow to experience a snow day at school:) Last night I was putting together some pictures for my blog when I heard screaming: Mom, it’s snowing! I checked the weather forecast earlier so I knew we can expect some snow storms but after mild winter so far I had to see to believe. I don’t know why but seeing a white street made me so happy. I know it means shoveling and slow driving but I am so happy to see the first, very late snow of this winter:)….Unfortunately, the beautiful snow quickly turned into freezing rain and then rain in the morning so even though you can still see some white here and there the dream of tobogganing will have to wait and instead, dressed in warm socks and rain boots, we decided to check the art exhibition of Derek Sullivan at the Oakville Galleries:) It was all worth it!
days are way to short now…….
